 SELLING DURING COVID!

I was initially contacted by the girlfriend of my client below.  They bought a home in Brighton together and were using the same agent to sell their two homes – hers in Bowmanville and Rod’s in Ajax.  Although her home was sold, she wasn’t happy.  She felt he didn’t do anything to sell it and wasn’t doing anything to get Rod’s house sold either.  She thought maybe the agent didn’t know how to market a property during the pandemic.  Because Rod was already listed, I let her know I couldn’t discuss their situation any further.  A couple of weeks later I got a call from them saying they were no longer listed and wanted to talk to me.   My name is Rod James, and I have been a resident of South Ajax for over twenty years. As most homeowners do, we watch our neighbours. And when a home comes up for sale, we ask the same questions. He came to the house and gave me a list of things prospective buyers looked for. The little things I hadn't considered because I have been living with them for so long. Some of them hard to hear, but all of it sound advice. Long story short, Brian's team and their extensive network, built with 30+ years of experience, managed to sell my home in just 5 days for 102% of the asking price. All this during the COVID-19 lockdown. Darn impressive in my books.
